Kevin Lynch wrote, "a workable image requires first the identification of an object, which implies its distinction from other things, its recognition as a separable entity. This is called identity, not in the sense of equity with something else, but with the meaning of individuality or oneness." (1960)

For identification, any workable image needs context. One does not see the vast ocean alone; one witnesses the purpose, history, culture, architecture, and evolution of space with the humans, thus having a reflected parallel projection as context.

Post cards printed between 1825 to 1930.

Why they came?
What did they do?
What did they leave?
Why is it beautiful?

All that's left are memories,
where they are history and it is the place.
